Colours of Green Holi

Every year we hear from environmentalists to play a Green Holi. It doesn't mean using green colour or green gulaal but it is by playing with natural colours. Natural colours are prepared herbally at home or school or a small workshop near you. Those with the intentions to make it big during the sale season of Holi items are just making fool out of all of us. What they give us in the name of natural colours are not necessary herbal in nature and might affect our skin or eyes.

So take a stand and don't purchase unhealthy herbal colours and do it at your home the easy way.

Here are some tips to prepare natural colours at home:

1) Put some pieces of beet-root in boiling water and let it stay overnight. Amazing coloured water will be ready to be used for Holi in the morning.

2) Take some black grapes and Amla and cut them in fine pieces. Put the pieces in boiling water and let the water cool down to get a nice black colour for Holi.

3) Dry petals of marigold flower in shadow and grind them in a mixer; a yellow is ready for you. You can also use turmeric powder as yellow colour. Turmeric powder is very good for skin.

4) Prepare green colour by putting spinach, mint and Neem leaves in hot water and let it stay for some time. You can also make dry green colour by grinding dried leaves of spinach, mint and Neem leaves.

Use Natural colours... Don't waste water... Play Safe... Play Dry...
